Problem<\/strong>   SharePoint Foundation 2010 is still not working after you completed the procedures in the following topics:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Repair the SharePoint Foundation 2010 Domain Name System<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Repair user access to the internal website<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Repair user access to SharePoint Foundation 2010<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Recreate your SharePoint Foundation 2010 application and content database<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Solution<\/strong>   If you uninstalled SharePoint Foundation 2010, the database content was not removed, so you can automatically restore the content by reinstalling SharePoint Foundation 2010. If the internal website was working before you uninstalled SharePoint Foundation 2010, you do not need to do any additional configuration after you reinstall SharePoint Foundation 2010.<\/p>\n

    To reinstall SharePoint Foundation 2010<\/h6>\n
      \n
    1. \n

      Browse to C:\\Program Files\\Windows Small Business Server\\Bin\\CMPNENTS\\WSS.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Double-click setup.exe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      On the User Account Control<\/strong> page, click Continue<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Read the license agreement. If you accept the terms, click I accept the terms of this agreement<\/strong>, and then click Continue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      Use the default location, and click Install<\/strong>. The installation begins.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    6. \n

      When the installation is complete, click Close<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    7. \n

      The SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard appears. Click Next<\/strong>. Do not click Yes<\/strong> at this point.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    8. \n

      Click Start<\/strong>, click Administrative Tools<\/strong>, and then click Active Directory Users and Computers<\/strong>. Expand <domain name><\/strong>, click MyBusiness<\/strong>, click Users<\/strong>, click SBSUsers<\/strong>, right-click SharePoint Farm Account<\/strong> and click Reset password<\/strong>. Reset the password and unselect the User must change password<\/strong> checkbox.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    9. \n

      Return to the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard, Click Yes<\/strong> to restart the services.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    10. \n

      Select Create a new server farm<\/strong> and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    11. \n

      For database server, type <server name>\\SHAREPOINT<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    12. \n

      For database name, type SharePoint_ConfigurationDatabase<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    13. \n

      For user name, type <domain name>\\spfarm<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    14. \n

      For password, type the password you just reset. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    15. \n

      Specify your passphrase and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    16. \n

      Select Negotiate(Kerberos)<\/strong> and click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    17. \n

      Click Yes<\/strong> to confirm. Click Next<\/strong> to begin configuration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    18. \n

      Open Registry Editor, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\VSS\\VssAccessControl\\<\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Find the entry named NT Authority\\NETWORK SERVICE<\/strong>, and then change the value from 0x0<\/strong> to 0x1<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. Find the entry named: <domain name>\\spfarm<\/strong>, and then, if needed, change the value from 0x0<\/strong> to 0x1<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      3. Find the entry named: <domain name>\\spsearch<\/strong>, and then, if needed, change the value from 0x0<\/strong> to 0x1<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      4. \n

        In the Central Administration page, click Cancel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        To recreate a managed account for SharePoint<\/h6>\n
          \n
        1. \n

          Click Start<\/strong>, click Administrative Tools<\/strong>, click Active Directory Users and Computers<\/strong>, expand <domain name><\/strong>, click MyBusiness<\/strong>, click Users<\/strong>, click SBSUsers<\/strong>, right-click SharePoint Search Service Account<\/strong> and click Reset password<\/strong>. Unselect User must change password at next logon<\/strong> checkbox and reset the password. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        2. \n

          Click Start<\/strong>, click Administrative Tools<\/strong>, click Active Directory Users and Computers<\/strong>, expand <domain name><\/em>, click MyBusiness<\/strong>, click Users<\/strong>, click SBSUsers<\/strong>, right click Windows SBS Internal Website Account<\/strong> and then click Reset password<\/strong>. Reset the password.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        3. \n

          In Central Administration page, click Security<\/strong>, and then click Configure Managed Accounts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        4. \n

          Click Register Managed Account<\/strong>. Register the following accounts and make sure you select Enable automatic password change<\/strong> and keep the default setting:<\/p>\n

          1. <domain name><\/em>\\spsearch<\/li>\n
          2. <domain name><\/em>\\spwebapp<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
            To configure search service for SharePoint<\/h6>\n

              Open the Central Administration page, click Manage Services on Server<\/strong> under System Setting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            2. \n

              Click Start<\/strong> for SharePoint Foundation Search.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            3. \n

              Choose <domain name><\/em>\\spsearch in Service Account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            4. \n

              Specify your own Indexing Schedule<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

            5. \n

              Click OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
